Our program will aid career progression to senior management level. A Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is also available to study and can be used as a pathway into the masters program.

Structure
The Master of Professional Accounting requires 120 units, gained through the completion of twelve courses worth 10 units each. Students are required to complete all twelve courses from the core courses.
Standard entry requirements
- Entry into the Master of Professional Accounting will be available for applicants who have: Bachelor Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, in the discipline
- Or Bachelor Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, not in the discipline and 1 year relevant organisational experience
- Or At least 7 years' relevant organisational experience, including 2 years in a management position
- Or Successful completion of 75% (30 units) of one of the following UoN programs: Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, Graduate Certificate in Marketing, Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting
Recognition
The program is structured to satisfy the Guidelines for Joint Accreditation of Tertiary Courses by the Professional Accounting Bodies issued jointly by CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), and the Core Curriculum Areas issued by the ICAA. Students completing the program will meet the academic requirements for Associate membership of CPA Australia and enrolment in the CPA Program, and for enrolment in the Chartered Accountants Program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Study pathways
Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is a pathway for admission to the Master of Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting with credit for completed courses. The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is an exit award from the Master of Professional Accounting.
