Students of this degree explore topics including shares, debentures, derivatives and discounted cash flows, and will study methods to price a range of financial instruments. Students are involved in a range of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences linking directly to the finance and banking industries, and will graduate with sound knowledge of commerce and a breadth of professional skills. Students will: Evaluate the concepts and theories acquired in finance and banking; identify and obtain relevant information for decision making and providing advice to stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds; utilise discipline-specific technologies to analyse complex problems in a variety of contexts; communicate a clear, coherent and independent exposition of knowledge and ideas to a variety of stakeholders, addressing a diverse range of business/commerce problems; and develop the capacity to exercise initiative and professional judgement in an ethically and socially responsible manner.

Admission to this course is based on an entrance rank. A rank can be achieved by a year 12 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
