If you have a passion for discovery and problem-solving, you might consider one of the many courses available in science and mathematics. A double degree in either science or mathematics paired with something like education, engineering, law or business can expand your opportunities, providing you with a back-up in a tough job market. Related courses and occupations include computing and information technology, engineering and technology, mathematics, surveying, various health fields and veterinary science.

This month, we looked at which Australian universities with undergraduate degrees in science performed best in the categories of teaching qualitygraduate salary and student support. 

This rating looks at the proportion of students who were satisfied with the quality of teaching they experienced. Bond University in Queensland ranked first with a score of 97.3%, and The University of Notre Dame Australia in placed a second with a score of 90.7%.  

This rating compares the median salary of graduates from different universities. Curtin University in Western Australia ranked first with a median graduate salary of  $71,400 and Monash University in Victoria placed a second with a median salary of $65,400. 

This rating looks at the proportion of students who felt they were engaged with learning at their institution. 

Bond University ranked first with a 92.1satisfaction rate, while The University of Notre Dame Australia placed second with 81.9%.
