Accountancy is about providing reliable, timely and accurate information for decision makers, especially for economic decisions. Whether working for a multinational company, a government agency, or public practice firms, accountants play a pivotal role in advising senior management on the financial performance and direction of the organisation. During the Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) you will undertake a foundation year that covers all core disciplines of business, while during the second year you will study advanced accountancy topics. The final-year capstone subject allows you to apply everything you have learned in collaboration with students from other disciplines. Plus, you have the option of applying for an internship to gain valuable experience whilst receiving credit towards your degree. After completing the Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), you may enrol in a masters degree and be eligible for up to four subjects credit, reducing your masters degree to one year.
Standard entry requirements
A range of admission options are available for future students. The procedures governing admission are defined in UOW's Admissions Procedures, and the UOW College Admissions Policy
