Structure

The course comprises seven core subjects (totalling 42 credit points) and one elective subject (6 credit points). The course may be completed in one year of full-time or two years of part-time study.

Standard entry requirements

  • Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. The equivalent qualification required is a bachelor's degree in any discipline or satisfactory completion of a relevant graduate certificate from UTS or other recognised higher education institution. The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184.

Recognition

The course covers a broad range of the specialist knowledge areas required to be ASIC RG146 registered.

Study pathways

Students may be granted a maximum of five subject exemptions, of which two core subjects may be approved from prior undergraduate study.
