Practical experience: A minimum of 140 hours of practical experience is required to graduate and to meet the Exercise and Sport Science Australia accreditation standard. Practical experience is integrated throughout the course and includes placement in the fitness/health industry and sports performance centres. Placements may occur in holiday periods. A placement may take place outside Sydney. Students are be responsible for additional costs, including accommodation and travel. Career opportunities: Examples include exercise and sports scientist, corporate/personal fitness trainer, medical scientist, or careers in community health, work health and safety, injury prevention.
