This dual four-year program allows students to combine the versatility and breadth of a science degree, with the in-depth knowledge of a biomedical science degree. This innovative program has been designed to provide students with advanced biomedical science knowledge and key practical skills in science required to address today's global challenges. In the science component of the dual, students will choose from an extensive range of 25 specialised majors. In the biomedical science component of the program, students will study the human body at the molecular, cellular and whole body levels, and the disciplines of biochemistry and cell biology, physiology, developmental biology, microbiology, pharmacology and neuroscience. Students will also discover the latest in globally relevant biomedical research from leading scientists based at UQ's research institutes. Moreover, students will benefit from the best of both worlds by learning about the scientific process through activities ranging from experimental design and hands-on experiments to computer programming.
