QUT’s newly-designed Bachelor of Data Science provides the most up-to-date techniques and knowledge in this fast-evolving field. With the combination of data science and creative industries this course allows you to understand the intersection of problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and apply data lead insights. Your comprehensive knowledge of data science tools and techniques will be employed to design new solutions, build new products, or advance people's systems and services. This course will allow you to develop your own creative niche across a range of majors, with the agility you need to keep creating, adapting and innovating as the world continues to evolve.
In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 384 credit points, made up of 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Creative Industries and 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Data Science. You will undertake the two components of the double degree concurrently.

Standard entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Assumed knowledge: English, or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C)
- Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C).
Pathways to Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Master of Philosophy are available. Students may be able to claim advanced standing for part of their course, on the basis of completed or partially completed studies, and other assessable learning outcomes.
