Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Murdoch University is ranked as WA's top university for politics and international studies, with the most comprehensive political science program in the state. In this course you'll examine political power, public policy, political institutions, ideas and processes, and their transformations at national and global levels. You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to deal with complex problems in a diverse and interconnected world, and be prepared to live and work in a globalised environment where international events influence national politics and policy, and vice versa. You can expand your degree and career prospects even further by combining Global Politics and Policy with another major such as History or Security, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies. When you graduate, you'll be prepared for analytical and decision-making positions in public service, international organisations, government and non-government agencies, journalism, media, public relations, education, welfare, health policy, business administration, corporate government relations, think tanks and research institutes.
