The Master of Arts (Research Training) is a graduate research degree which can be undertaken following completion of a regular three year undergraduate degree. It is also an appropriate entry point into graduate research for prospective candidates with extensive industry experience or non traditional research outputs who may not meet the traditional PhD admission requirements. This course will provide students with the opportunity for more specialised, in depth research training in a discipline or on an interdisciplinary topic. It will also provide opportunities to translate your research for a particular professional context.
Standard entry requirements
- To meet the admissions requirements for the Master of Arts Research Training, applicants must provide evidence of the following:
- A 3 year bachelors degree completed at Monash University (within two years of graduation) with 75 WAM and 75+ in the Level 3 research capstone or
- An Australian Bachelor Honours degree with Upper Second Class Honours or equivalent or
- A combination of qualifications, research publications and/or at least two years of documented professional experience related to the field of study that may be assessed as equivalent to 1.2 or
- A degree with a significant research/thesis component with Upper Second Class or equivalent.
