Across its three-part structure, you will complete Arts major studies, specified studies and free elective studies. Selecting from approximately 30 areas of study from across the humanities and social science disciplines, your major is a concentration of subjects that equip you with specialised knowledge in a specific area or field of study. Complementing your major studies, your specified studies focus on a range of specialist areas: global challenges, society and culture, ways of understanding, thinking and communicating, Indigenous knowledges, global experience, future professional skills and global leadership.
Standard entry requirements
All Monash undergraduate courses require you to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achieve the required academic entry score. Most Monash faculties generally use your most recent studies for admission however other guidelines may apply where your prior qualification may be considered.
