To qualify for the award of Master of Chemical Sciences, students must complete 240 credit points consisting of: 240 core credit points

Standard entry requirements
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Applicants who hold a Bachelor degree with substantial chemistry content equivalent to second or third-year chemistry may also be considered.
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Specialisation - compulsory: Chemistry
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
- International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Recognition

Study pathways
Students with a Bachelor degree including significant studies in chemistry may be granted exemption or Advanced Standing, provided the course coordinator can determine that sufficient material has been covered.
