The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology aims to provide you with a general professional qualification in information technology (IT). Broaden or deepen your knowledge of using computers. The core subjects provide you with a foundation in information systems, software development and computer networking. You'll learn: Technology assessment Evaluate the capacity and capability of different technologies to select the most appropriate technology solution for each situation. Software testing Use research and technical skills to test your IT solutions and learn how to prevent bugs, reduce development costs and improve performance. Communication and ethics Learn how to communicate professionally within the IT sector to ensure you operate aligned to the ethical and cultural values of the IT profession.

Structure

To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma in Information Technology, students must complete 120 credit points as follows: 90 core credit-points 15 core choice credit points 15 elective credit points

Standard entry requirements

  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
  • International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
