This degree prepares teachers, educators and leaders in schools, the community, workplaces, universities and training institutions to develop an understanding of the cognitive psychology of learning and investigate how this can be applied to problems that arise in learning and teaching.

Structure

Students complete six core (compulsory) one option topic and at least one minor chosen from various areas including Gifted Education, Inclusive Education and Leadership in Education.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Teaching or closely related qualification.

Recognition

Graduates will not be eligible for teacher registration. Please see the Master of Teaching suite to undertake a postgraduate teaching qualification that leads to teacher registration.
