The Bachelor of Business (International Business) provides students with the opportunity to develop broad knowledge and competencies to facilitate careers in business-related fields. Students will be encouraged and supported to develop transferable interpersonal and professional capabilities, including the capability to be reflective, self-evaluating and critically engaged. There is a focus on application of knowledge, competencies and capabilities to diverse and global business/organisational contexts. Students will apply their knowledge and competencies to a broad range of business/organisational practices including systems and processes, planning, production, operations and the use of current and emerging data and analytical practices.


The degree comprises core (compulsory) topics in areas such as accounting, law, economics, marketing, human resource management, quantitative methods, management and international business. The international business specialisation topics provide in-depth international business specific skills and knowledge. Students are then able to study additional topics from their chosen specialisation or other business specialisations and, if desired, topics from across the University to tailor their degree to their interests and career goals. In the final year, students also study Strategic Management as a capstone topic. Students are encouraged to include industry placements, industry projects and international experiences in their studies.

Students have the option of combining this degree with one of the following Bachelor degrees, provided they meet the entry requirements for both: Accounting, Business Economics, Finance, Laws and Legal Practice, Laws and Legal Practice (Honours), Arts, International Relations and Political Science, and Tourism and Events.
