The Master of Occupational Health and Safety Extension provides students with an integrated teaching and research program, with the objective of promoting the highest level of safety and inspiring the next generation of Occupational Health and Safety Professionals.This Extension program provides you with an opportunity to specialise in either Health Promotion or OHS Research. The Health Promotion specialisation must be taken by all students commencing in Spring Session.

Structure

  • The Master of Occupational Health and Safety Extension requires the successful completion of 96 credit points as specified below, including
  • a. 72 credit points of core subjects
  • andb. 24 credit points from either the Health Promotion or OHS Research specialisation.

Standard entry requirements

  • A recognised 3-year Bachelor degree
  • A Master of Occupational Health and Safety
  • A Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Or either a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Graduate Certificate in Occupational Hygiene with a WAM of at least 65. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and/or work experience may be considered.
