The Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation (Honours) involves one additional year of study following the successful completion of a relevant undergraduate degree. An Honours research project allows you to explore an approved research question of your choosing through extended study in the liberal arts. Honours study will equip you with marketable skills of value to many employers. The Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation (Honours) consists of 50% coursework for 24 credit points and 50% independent research for 24 credit points.

Standard entry requirements

Entry requires a Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation or another relevant bachelor's degree, with an average of at least 80% (normally) in the core Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation subjects or across a relevant major in which the Honours degree will be undertaken. Additionally, a Distinction is required in two of the 300-level subjects required by the major.
