You will gain the necessary skills to critically examine the political, social, behavioural, economic and environmental contexts of health. Graduates typically move into health-related fields that do not involve the direct treatment of patients. The course takes a global view of health and all students have the opportunity to undertake an international experience. This degree can be a foundation for graduate-entry programs offered at the University of Sydney and elsewhere including diagnostic radiography, exercise physiology, rehabilitation counselling, speech pathology, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy. Graduates are eligible to apply for admission to graduate entry programs in areas such as dentistry, law, medicine, nursing and pharmacy. Study in prescribed majors is a prerequisite for entry into some programs.
