Further information
Students are primarily at Westmead, however they attend lectures at Cumberland, and spend one day in clinic at the Sydney Dental Hospital at Surry Hills. Practical experience: A minimum 1,500 hours of practical experience over three years. Practical experience includes simulation practice, patient treatment in public dental clinics and a rural placement. Career opportunities: Examples include oral health therapist, dental hygienist and dental therapist in private and public sector dental practice in Australia and New Zealand, oral health promotion.
