The University of Sydney Study Abroad Program provides you with the exciting opportunity to add an international perspective to your education at an Australian university with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research. You can complete a research period of one or two semesters under the supervision of a University of Sydney academic staff member on a non award basis.

Standard entry requirements

  • To be considered for the Study Abroad Program you need to:
  • Have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree and submit substantiating evidence (testamur)
  • Provide evidence of written support with your supervisor at your home university and a supervisor at the University of Sydney who has agreed to supervise your research
  • Provide a one page research proposal
  • Have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either Credit or Good average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of C or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent)
