The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) degree prepares students for a rewarding career in the fast-growing physiotherapy industry. Honours students are trained to work as a member of a healthcare team and also as a first-contact practitioner concerned with the prevention and treatment of injury and illnesses. Students learn in the on-campus Physiotherapy Clinic, take part in laboratory classes and gain further practical experience through clinical placements within metropolitan, rural, regional or overseas health settings. Students also undertake advanced research training, preparing them for the option of further study or a career in research.

Standard entry requirements
- Qualify for South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with competitive ATAR
- OR complete secondary education equivalent to SACE
- Complete International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Complete or partially complete higher education program
- Complete four Open Universities Australia courses at undergraduate level or above
- Complete an Advanced Diploma or above
- Qualify for special entry
- Complete a Foundation Studies program AND meet any pre-requisite and academic requirements. International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained the required standards prior to admission.
Recognition
The program is accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and satisfies the academic requirements for registration as a physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Successful completion of the program is accepted for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association

Further information
Students undertaking activities with interaction with the public must obtain a current National Police Clearance and a Current National Criminal History Record Check (Child-Related Clearance) from the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI). This certificate is valid for the duration of the program. Student registration with the relevant board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required in order to study this program. Students must also have a 'Provide First Aid' Certificate and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate or equivalent.
