The Master of Information Technology equips you with an extensive understanding of smart and emerging technologies amid Industry 4.0. The course expands your knowledge of data and programming, networks and security, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, helping you advance your career in the ICT industry.Upon graduating, you will have the ability to plan, design, lead and verify innovative IT solutions to solve complex problems. The course will expose you to the myriad of software and ICT infrastructure used within the industry to roll out IT solutions, including cloud architecture and cybersecurity platforms. In doing so, your studies will position you to effectively lead and guide IT teams and manage large-scale projects end to end.
Structure
The Master of Information Technology comprises nine core subjects and two elective subjects, including one 20-credit point subject, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week (made up of classes and self-directed study). Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes. There are no formal exams.
Standard entry requirements
Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or relevant disciplines covering studies in programming, computer networks, database and web development OR Work life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
