The Graduate Certificate in Computer Science provides students with any undergraduate degree and some programming/maths experience with the equivalent of a major in Computer Science. The course will augment students existing knowledge with considerable technical expertise in computer science, including exposure to a variety of programming paradigms, an understanding of the systematic processes underpinning the software development lifecycle, and an appreciation of advanced topics in computing.

Structure

Students will complete between one and three core subjects, with the electives making up a total of four subjects.

Standard entry requirements

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with
  • A Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least H3 (65%) (or equivalent), and
  • At least 25 points of level 1 or above in computer science subjects (or equivalent), and
  • At least 50 points of level 2 or above in computer science subjects (or equivalent), and
  • At least 25 points of level 1 or above mathematics or statistics subjects (or equivalent).
