Graduate Certificate of Demography

The Australian National University (ANU)

Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level: Postgraduate
CRICOS: 00120C

The Graduate Certificate of Demography is the only postgraduate certificate of its kind offered in Australia. The certificate provides students with an opportunity to study population issues in a research led environment, with a focus on applying learning to real world scenarios. The certificate will equip students with cutting edge skills in demographic techniques, research and writing. Graduates will emerge with skills to undertake demographic analysis and apply these to societal issues like population ageing, migration, and population growth. The Certificate may be completed on campus, with many courses also being available online. Student visa holders (subclass 500) can not study more than one third of this program online. Two features of the program are the scenario based learning approach and access to leading researchers. All courses will have these two key features as central components of the student experience.
