This program provides graduates with academic qualifications to practice law, and skills and knowledge relevant to a wide range of professional fields along with an education in both the content and process of science and data analysis that will enable graduates to deal with complexities of litigation that have a scientific and technological dimension, such as inventions, trade secrets, quantitative evidence, and constitutional disputes giving rise to environmental issues. Alternatively, graduates may also choose to follow a career path in the sciences, enhancing their opportunities in a particular discipline such as environmental science or biotechnology through their knowledge of the law. This degree prepares students to think ahead and take advantage of employment opportunities in growth areas and newly emerging sectors, such as intellectual property and technology. Students have the opportunity to choose electives that align with their interests and can gain practical and hands-on experience. Students benefit from meaningful connections with high profile industry employers and classes with leading and internationally renowned law experts.

- 336 credit points from law units.This is comprised of 19 core units, including unis based upon the 'Priestly 11' required for admission to legal practice in Australia and 8 electives.

Recognition
Graduates satisfy the academic requirements for admission as a solicitor and/or barrister in all Australian states and territories. It is also recognised for admission purposes in West and East Malaysia, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. Membership in scientific professional bodies depends on the major areas of study undertaken.
