Founded in 1983, Oakleigh Grammar is a coeducational school with a focus on developing successful, globally-minded students. Oakleigh Grammar embraces students from many different countries and cultures by cultivating a unique learning community. We offer a genuine commitment to ensure your child will be engaged through a range of contemporary learning programs.
Located in the heart of Melbourne’s south-east, Oakleigh Grammar is medium sized school of 900 ELC to Year 12 students, with a 100 per cent graduation rate, offering small class sizes to ensure we create quality learning opportunities for every student to reach their full potential.
We offer excellence in coeducational learning from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 and are a top Australian school. We use an internationally renowned learning program, backed by a strong academic curriculum. As well as promoting education, Oakleigh Grammar students are exposed to a range of social experiences within Oakleigh and the broader community. Character-developing programs such as the SRC, The Leader in Me and the International Baccalaureate give students the capacity to grow socially during their school life.
Our school ensures that every child is known personally and places the utmost importance on student welfare and safety. Oakleigh Grammar is a multicultural environment with Christian values, where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is encouraged.
Together, we provide our students with a strong sense of belonging to the Oakleigh Grammar School community.
In addition to promoting wellbeing, we invest heavily in our students’ educational development, and as each child is different, it is important to offer courses to engage, enhance and improve each child’s talents and preferences in subjects.
The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program gives students the opportunity to prepare for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) in a wholesome, well-rounded manner that supports highly successful outcomes.
Oakleigh Grammar also offers a comprehensive International Study Program, with a growing enrolment of over 60 students from China, Cambodia, Malaysia and Japan. There are a variety of programs in long and short stay experiences, providing development in cultural diversity.
For our Junior School, we offer our The Leader in Me process, based on Dr Stephen Covey’s ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’, which supports the focus on developing leadership in each of our students.
In addition to our specialist course requirements, we also offer a fully immersive course selection in mathematics, science, the arts, sport and LOTE (Greek and Mandarin).
We also have state-of-the-art amenities in science, sport, the arts, food technology, music and information technology, ensuring that whatever course each student chooses to pursue, Oakleigh Grammar will have the best resources to facilitate each child.
