This degree qualifies students to teach children aged from birth to five years in prior-to-school settings such as childcare or preschools. Specialist early childhood teachers work with children, families and communities to provide quality educational experiences for young children. Students with a completed Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent will receive credit for their previous studies.

This program is specifically designed for students who are currently working with young children in an early childhood service and it will: enable them to pursue further study on a part-time basis while they continue to be employed in service; enhance their career path; build on their existing knowledge and experience. This course is offered through internal or external study, in Session 1 only.
