This course will provide an introduction to Christian thinking in the standard areas of: the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, Systematic Theology, Church History, and the Practice of Ministry. The theological perspective of this course will be ecumenical rather than that of a particular denomination, ecumenical here means a willingness to engage with reputable scholarship from any tradition recognised by the World Council of Churches.

Students must pass 24 units, each worth 10 credit points, to be awarded the Bachelor of Theology

Standard entry requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of Year 12 in the Australian school system with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 65 or above, or its equivalent, with English Proficiency
  • Mature Age admission for those who have reached the age of 21, with English Proficiency.
  • International students must be at least 18 years of age, must have an IELTS (or equivalent) of 6.5 or greater and with no score less than 6.0 in each band of the test.
