Through this double degree, you will develop a solid knowledge of the increasing reliance of science on computing and information technology in collecting, storing and analysing large volumes of data.This double degree, undertaken at Griffith University's Nathan campus, will give you the skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving work environment.You will gain a deep understanding of, and gain first-hand experience in, computationally intensive simulations of new physical phenomena on supercomputers, visual exploration of large data sets, and informational retrieval and communication via the internet and data mining. Core courses will introduce you to areas such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, information systems, and computer programming. You will also undertake work integrated learning to gain first-hand experience in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to work in the industry or to work in a team to analyse, develop and implement an effective solution to a computer-based information system or software development problem.
