This course is designed to equip students from any previous fields with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to address complexities of the evolving cybersecurity landscape. By combining rigorous academic foundations with hands-on, case-based learning experiences, graduates will establish a strong foundation in information technology, cybersecurity and cybersecurity management, as well as building expertise in advanced technical and program management. This course draws our established expertise and accredited courses in the fields of cybersecurity leadership. Improving public order, sustainable business practices and community safety are core to the Institute's educational goals. The Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity allows graduates to enter the final year of the Master of Cybersecurity. It also enables students to exit the higher-level course, due to unforeseen personal or professional reasons, after the first year with an accredited qualification.
Standard entry requirements
- Completion of an AQF 7 (Bachelor) or equivalent in any field with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0-point scale)
- Applicants whose entry qualifications were obtained in an institute where English is not the language of instruction normally require IELTS 6.5, with a score of not less than 6.0 in any of the four skill areas, or equivalent.
