Structure
- Eight (8) core IT subjects including four (4) fundamental subjects providing non-cognate entrants with a form basis for further study.
- Six (6) specialist subjects providing graduates with broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge with depth in a discipline or area of practice.
- Two (2) electives in Information Technology or in a general discipline allowing students to further develop areas of interest in IT or to study complementary areas to further develop broad professional skills.
Standard entry requirements
- Entry into the Master of Information Technology generally requires students to meet the English language requirements and have completed an Australian bachelor’s degree (AQF 7) or equivalent.
- Applicants with work and life experience.
- Applicants without a formal qualification but with appropriate and relevant high level work experience will be considered. Skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
