This course aims to enhance leadership skills and provide practitioners and managers with the knowledge and skills required to work within a rapidly changing disability field. This course aims to develop skills for students interested in becoming professional leaders in disability. The degree prepares students with advanced skills and specialised knowledge that can be applied to support the inclusion and citizenship of people with disability, generate policy and build workforce capability allied with these goals.

Structure

Students must complete up to eight core (compulsory) topics and up to four option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to enhance leadership skills required to work within a rapidly changing disability and human services field.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Disability or similar field, or any Honours degree or a any relevant Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.

Study pathways

The University may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, consider applicants who do not hold a bachelor degree or equivalent but can demonstrate relevant higher education study with relevant work experience, or relevant work experience which may meet the requirements for entry into the course.
