The course can only be taken part-time. There is constant change in the way healthcare is being delivered, with major developments in digital health happening at a very rapid pace across the healthcare landscape. This Digital Health Graduate Certificate aims to empower managers and stakeholders in the health and aged care sectors to be at the forefront of change, and gain a deeper understanding in designing, developing delivering and managing their digital and virtual health environments, across the continuum of the healthcare journey, using the latest digital technologies. Digital health is contextually applied through exploring the role of patients, practitioners, providers and the leadership, management and decision-making required to capitalise on digital disruption and change in the dynamic digital healthcare journey. Grounded in an understanding of the fourth industrial revolution, and the necessary digital health competencies for the 21st Century, digitally enhancing the health and aged care journey will be illustrated. Health Care Managers need to be digitally dexterous and use digital and virtual health tools to lead and manage healthcare, whilst enabling business and clinical decision making.
Structure
Students complete four core (compulsory) topics focusing on the design, development and delivery of digital and virtual health services.
Standard entry requirements
Applicants must normally hold a healthcare or related undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. In addition, applicants must have not less than two years' professional experience in the health or aged care sector following completion of the degree or equivalent qualification. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
