The Bachelor of Information Technology (Digital Forensics) provides a comprehensive digital forensics education giving students a broad-based education in information technology together with study in forensic science, forensic criminalistics, evidence evaluation and crime scene management as well as specialist topics in digital forensics. It offers national best practice work experience and job placement, training you for the needs of the South Australian and Australian technology industry and public service sectors. The course is also available as an exit award from the Bachelor of Information Technology (Digital Forensics) (Honours) - 4 years, subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below.

Structure

Students complete core (compulsory) and option topics in areas such as data acquisition and validation, forensic methodologies, file systems examination, graphics file investigation, network and email investigation.

Standard entry requirements

This course can be applied for using one of the following qualifications: Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer.
