The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration will provide you with opportunities to study a broad range of topics relating to aspects of organisational management. You will develop the creative, analytical and interpersonal capabilities crucial for successful business leadership. The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration allows articulation into the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other Masters courses depending on your previous work experience and study.

  • To be considered for entry into this course, you must demonstrate one of the following: a completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent Bachelor degree, or higher equivalent qualification and three years relevant business or professional experience
  • Or a completed AQF Diploma with three years full time relevant* business experience
  • Or five years relevant* business experience. *Relevant business experience includes a working knowledge of how a business operates, for example, budgeting, staffing, project management, financial reporting, process management, or human resources. Employment experience must be shown in a statement of service, which is presented on a company letterhead, signed, and dated by a delegated authority from within the organisation (e.g. line supervisor or human resource officer). The statement must contain your full name, position title, duties performed, employment start date (mm/yyyy) and end date (mm/yyyy), or stating you are still employed, if applicable.If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or the United States of America, you are required to meet the English language proficiency requirements set by the University.You are required to provide documentation confirming completion of:•a secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or•a completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification, or•a Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA 4.0.These qualifications must be completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or the United States of America to meet the English language proficiency requirements. If you do not satisfy any of the above, you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores:•an International English Language Testing System overall band score of at least 6.5 with a minimum 6.0 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking), or•a Test of English as a Foreign Language iBT overall score of at least 79 with no score less than 21 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking), or•a Pearson Test of English Academic overall score of at least 62 with no less than 54 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking), or•an Occupational English Test with grades 'A' or 'B' only in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.Each application will be assessed individually.
