This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader.Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

Standard entry requirements

  • Applicants will be assessed against the following criteria:- Applicant must be over the age of 18- Year 11 certificate or equivalent
  • OR- Holders of an AQF qualification level III and above
  • OR- Applicants with no formal qualification and have experience within the industry may also be considered.English Proficiency:- Score of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent OR- Copy of any international English test results (e.g. IELTS / TOEFL / PTE)
  • OR- Completing the AUIPTLC English Placement Test to achieve an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English proficiency
  • OR- Proof that the student has successfully completed an English Language course with an Australian educational institution exiting at an Upper Intermediate level
  • OR- Any AQF qualification at the Certificate III level or above in any discipline area delivered and assessed in English
  • OR- Statement from an educational institution or similar evidence that confirms that English was the language of instruction if at least five years‘ studies completed in Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa or Republic of Ireland.

Study pathways

Under mutual recognition, the Certificate qualification and Statement of Attainment awarded by AUIPT will be recognized by other RTOs Australia-wide. Upon successful completion of this course, students have a number of pathway options to study:BSB60720 Advanced Diploma of Program ManagementAn undergraduate degree at universities or higher education providers that are willing to accept your credentials and experience (subject to higher education providers course entry requirements).
