UniSA Foundation Refugee Undergraduate Scholarship

UniSA established the UniSA Refugee Scholarship Fund to assist undergraduate students from a refugee background with their living and education expenses. The fund recognizes the cultural, political, and economic factors that affect the ability of refugee students to access and maintain tertiary education.

Eligibility

Australian Citizen‚ an Australian Permanent Resident or the holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa, Temporary Protection Visa, or Bridging VisaRefugee background (and not born in Australia)Commencing (first year) undergraduate student new to university (with no prior enrolment at an Australian university)Full-time (preferred) or part-time studentExperiencing financial disadvantageProvide a written statementPreference will be given to those who demonstrate community involvement and/or extracurricular activities and/or academic achievementPreference may be given to those not currently in receipt of another scholarship/grant.

Amount $15,000

Total value $45,000$15,000 per year for up to three years (for full-time students). Pro-rata payments will apply for part-time enrolment.
