Owen and Ann Broughton Art Grant

The Owen and Ann Broughton Art Grant recognises the creative and academic achievements of UniSA Bachelor of Contemporary Art students. The grant will support students entering third year and will be offered towards the end of the second year of study. Owen and Ann Broughton made a significant contribution to the arts community of South Australia from 1950. Owen lectured at the School of Art and enjoyed discovering and developing talent particularly in sculpture. He was a professional sculptor with work represented in Government and private collections, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Ann was one of his students and went on to become an accomplished artist in drawing, pottery and sculpture.

Eligibility

Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or International Student. Enrolled in second year Bachelor of Contemporary Art - applicants should be nearing completion of 72 units of study (credit can be included). Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 or above. Full-time load. Submission of a written statement.

Amount $2,000

The grant will be awarded to a second year Bachelor of Contemporary Art student who has excelled in their chosen discipline. The $2,000 grant will be paid as a single payment at the beginning of third year to support their further creative development.
