The Donald Dyer Scholarship commemorates the outstanding contribution of Donald Dyer to the founding of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA). The Scholarship is available to an outstanding public relations, corporate communication, or marketing communication scholar or practitioner, who is capable of making a significant contribution to the development of the practice of the public relations profession.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible prospective international students; hold a first class honours degree (or equivalent); possess good communication skills and leadership potential demonstrated via a personal written statement and CV. Commencing higher degree research students (Doctoral or Masters by Research), studying in the field of public relations and/or communication. International students will be required to study on a full-time basis.

Amount $11,666

The scholarship is valued at 35,000 for a maximum of 3 years, comprised of a $30,000 stipend plus an annual $5,000 lump sum payment to cover costs such as research related expenses, conferences, overseas study and minor expenses as detailed in the application.
