The Yoshida Grant was established to support a research trip to Japan to support students undertaking honours in the Japanese or Asian Studies Program, School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics, Faculty of Arts.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, permanent humanitarian visa holders or international students; be current undergraduate students enrolled in an honours degree in Japanese Studies or Asian Studies in the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia; and be conducting research in Japan as part of their honours degree. Selection is based on academic merit and written statement outlining the necessity of conducting research in Japan.

The grant provides a one-off payment of $5,000.
