John Richards Initiative (JRI) Scholarship

In response to increased rates of population ageing and the subsequent importance of rural ageing and aged care research, the John Richards Initiative (JRI) at La Trobe University is offering 2 PhD scholarships to local, national and international candidates. The JRI is a dedicated rural ageing and aged care research centre located at the La Trobe University Albury-Wodonga campus, a thriving regional area on the border of New South Wales and Victoria.

Eligibility

Applicants must: have completed at least 4 years of tertiary studies at a very high level of achievement (i.e. first class honours degree or equivalent) at an Australian university or recognised overseas university.

To be considered, please submit a formal application for candidature and a scholarship through La Trobe's graduate research degree application process. Separately forward the following to Ms Linda Gordes (l.gordes@latrobe.edu.au), indicating their wish to be considered for a JRI PhD Scholarship: a Curriculum Vitae; a one page statement outlining their experience, training and expertise relevant to the proposed project. Note: this scholarship is for candidates who will be based in La Trobe's Albury-Wodonga Camps - as their primary study location.

Amount $26,288

The scholarship is valued at $26,288 per annum.
