The Master of Financial Management provides an opportunity for you to enhance your career opportunities by developing further professional and personal skills, and knowledge in Financial Management areas.You will learn to plan, organise, direct and control financial activities such as obtaining funds and using funds for investments. You will study topics such as investment management, financial strategy, financial statement analysis and learn how to review the global financial system and understand the principles of descriptive and inferential statistics and their applications in the business environment.

Structure

The Master of Financial Management requires the successful completion of 72 credit points as specified below. Students need to make their subject selection based on their campus, delivery mode and other requirements specified below.The foundation subjects should be completed within the first two sessions of study;the capstone subject, FIN 960 Research in Financial Markets and Institutions should be completed in the final session of study.Students must select 12 credit points of elective subjects at 900 level from subjects offered by the Sydney Business School within the Faculty of Business and Law (excludes MBA, EMBA and some specialised 900 level subjects).;Students are highly recommended to complete Finance subjects (FIN codes) as electives.

Standard entry requirements

A recognised bachelor degree with an average mark of 50% or a UOW Graduate Certificate in Business. Other tertiary qualifications along with extensive professional work experience will be considered.
