If you have already completed some accounting studies but need to complete more units to gain accreditation with professional accounting bodies, our Graduate Diploma in Accounting is your opportunity to gain the required eight units for professional accreditation. This course will also enable your progression to high-level accounting studies such as the Master of Professional Accounting.

Structure

48 credit points (equivalent to 8 standard units) including core units and a choice of listed units. A student's program of study and credit points for completion are determined by the qualification used as the basis for admission.

  • Or a Graduate Certificate in Accounting or equivalent.

Recognition

The Graduate Diploma in Accounting is a course that will service the needs of students requiring eight or less units for accreditation with the professional accounting bodies. Once associate membership is obtained students can pursue professional studies with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) for full membership.

Study pathways

This is an articulation pathway to the Master of Professional Accounting. Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies. An exit pathway is available for eligible students.
