A Diploma of Business provides core business knowledge and skills. Learn the fundamentals of communication, marketing and management. You'll learn from Torrens University's industry-expert academics. With four elective subjects, you can tailor the course to fit your career goals.This course promotes critical thinking skills that are used to create strategic business and marketing plans and identify business opportunities. You’ll research, analyse and interpret domestic and international environments. The Diploma of Business consists of eight subjects, including five core subjects and three elective subjects, so you can tailor the course to fit your career goals. Upon completion, you can use your credits to enter the second year of a Bachelor of Business program.
Structure
Delivered both on campus and online, the Diploma of Business comprises of 5 core and 3 electives, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week (made up of classes and self-directed study). Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes. There are no formal exams.
Standard entry requirements
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent OR Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR Work-life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
