A Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) gives you the skills and knowledge to work in skin health and anti-ageing treatments. Students will gain hands-on experience with advanced skincare techniques and the latest dermal technologies, including microdermabrasion, microneedling, chemical peels, LED therapy, IPL, laser, radiofrequency, ultrasound, and cryolipolysis, preparing them to deliver safe, evidence-based treatments for a range of skin and body conditions.The degree also develops your understanding of dermal therapy principles, innovations, and professional practice, backed by a foundation in health science and biology. You’ll gain practical experience in our student-led clinic on the Brisbane campus, where you’ll treat real clients and build the confidence to start your career in this exciting field.
Structure
Delivered both on campus and online, the Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) comprises of 22 core subjects and 2 electives, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week (made up of classes and self-directed study). Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes.
