Through the Master of Marketing, you will understand the role of marketing and its relationship with other important functional areas in management to get an all-of-business view, and develop appropriate marketing tactics and strategies.
Structure
The Master of Marketing comprises five core subjects and a total of eleven elective subjects. In the first year of this degree, you will undertake four core subjects that span marketing management, consumer behaviour, communication strategy, and market research. You will also select four elective subjects that allow you to hone your understanding of brand strategy, marketing analytics, international marketing, customer experience design, and more. In the second year of study, you will complete a total of seven elective subjects -- five from marketing, and two from the wider university postgraduate elective list -- and the capstone subject Strategic Marketing.

Standard entry requirements
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution. An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent), or higher-level qualification, in a business or related discipline from a recognised tertiary OR The RMIT Graduate Certificate in Marketing.
Recognition
Graduates can apply to become a member of the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Market and Social Research Society.
Study pathways
If applicants have completed an Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification, in a business (or related) discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, applicants will receive exemptions from the four business enabling courses. If applicants have a major in a non-business discipline, the student will begin their studies at Graduate Certificate level. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Marketing students will be admitted to the Master program, which requires the successful completion of further courses.
