Maylands Peninsula Primary School

Maylands Peninsula Primary School officially opened at the beginning of the 2004 school year as a result of the amalgamation of Maylands Primary School and East Maylands Primary Schools. In 2011, we achieved Independent Public School (IPS) status, which affords the school a number of flexibilities in the staffing of the school.Although we are an Independent Public School, we remain part of the Western Australian public school system. As such, Maylands Peninsula Primary School is obliged to comply with relevant legislation, industrial agreements and whole of government policies and initiatives. These include the School Education Act 1999, School Education Regulations 2000 as well as each individual board's constitution.
