We've carefully designed our Graduate Diploma of Data Science to give you a solid foundation in computer science, statistics and applied data analysis. You'll learn using real data sets from our industry partners, so you can be sure you're learning up-to-date skills. You'll get practical experience with open-source software and platforms, including Python, R, and Hadoop. You'll learn: Database fundamentals Delve into how databases function across both hardware and software systems. Learn how data storage and retrieval, communications, networking, security and information systems are critical to our everyday lives.

Structure

To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma in Data Science, students must complete 120 credit points as follows: 75 core credit points 45 elective credit points

Standard entry requirements

  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
  • International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
