This program prepares graduates for diverse professional practice as designers through practical and theoretical learning. First year focuses on the development of manual and technological skills, design thinking, problem-defining and solving. Students will gain an understanding of the changing role of design and how they can become leaders in the industry. Graduates of this program may continue their studies by undertaking the /Program/2043/Overview Bachelor of Design (Honours) (2043) or one of the various postgraduate offerings at <abbr title="Queensland College of Arts QCA</abbr>.Students wishing to transfer to the /Program/1393/Overview Bachelor of Design Futures (Honours) (1393) may do so at any point in their degree. However, students graduating with a Bachelor of Design will not be eligible to apply for entry to the Bachelor of Design Futures (Honours).
