This degree is designed to prepare educators and other professionals to build research-informed knowledge, skills and understandings that will enable them to implement and lead inclusive processes and practices in their schools and sites.

Structure

Students complete two core (compulsory) topics and a number of option topics and either one or two minors chosen from various areas including Gifted Education and Inclusive Education.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Teaching or closely related qualification.

Recognition

Graduates will not be eligible for teacher registration. Please see the Master of Teaching suite to undertake a postgraduate teaching qualification that leads to teacher registration.

Study pathways

The University may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, consider applicants who do not hold a bachelor degree or equivalent but can demonstrate relevant higher education study with relevant work experience, or relevant work experience which may meet the requirements for entry into the course.
